I use an HP laptop (AMD 2x2GHz, 3GB RAM, Win7 / 32). First Layer hight different between Repetier Server and Simplify 3D 1) Start a print created with Simplify in the way as described in message with a layer high from the first layer of 100. Personally, I am finding that I like the way that Repetier-Host and Slic3r work compared to Cura to create G-Code files. Honestly, WanHao should have included setup files and info of our printboards on the SD Card besides a copy of Cura. This could have to do with the graphics card of the computer. I am very new to this world of 3D printing, so finding a way to keep it simple helps. If I then use "Prepare to print" is the part to see. When I import a part, the print table remains blank in the preview. Then only a reboot of the computer helps. It sometimes happened to me that during the use of S3D suddenly the screen becomes black and I have no chance to use the system further.

I have to change the USB ports several times (with me COM3 / COM4) until it works again. You're right with the background services!īut if the data transfer to S3D works and I remove the USB cable or turn off the printer, it is very difficult to rebuild the communication. After use of Repetier no connection with S3D is possible. Now I have access by Ide and the coupling to S3D also works so long as I do not use Repetier. Now I reinstalled the Arduino USB driver. I noticed that the connection to the Arduino IDE did not work either. just like you did with your slicing software.I have Repetier still on the computer because I need to access the EEPROM config. My ABT is great, I really do enjoy having a fully functional touchscreen host right at my printer, but I know that S3D could do better. Of course with all of the bells and whistles that S3D is already known for and loved for, it would only make sense to follow this same pattern and apply it to a RPi based host package.

This could be a tangible product, or a software OS package, I would gladly pay for either one. I love S3D, and would really love to see a hardware product with a low cost RPi to enable S3D to host printers. Problems like those I described would be less common or frequent if S3D software was available from slicing, to gcode to hosting the printer. While everything is going good now, I would still love to have a RPi based S3D host to control and wirelessly run my printer(s). Since these problems and troubleshooting test, updates to my ABT have remedied this problem and I can again use my standard profiles for S3D without issue. This told me that my ABT was the cause of the infill not meeting up with the perimeters and not the S3D 4.0 update.

is this possible in SuperSlicer (or other slicer) because I prefer a free software. This can be done with Simplif圓D, by using 'align selected model origins ', My question is. So I then printed Gcode with my adjusted profile and it showed over extrusion where the 80% infill overlap meet with the perimeters. moneychimp calculator I created a text in the first layer, to print with one nozzle but two color. So there are two stl files with have to be aligned perfectly. This unadjusted Gcode also printed fine when using S3D as my printer host, even after the 4.0 update. I then tried the same thing but with Gcode from before I adjusted my profiles to eliminate the odd behavior, infill was not meeting up with my perimeters and I had adjusted my infill overlap to 80% just to get good prints.

After adjusting all my S3D profiles I decided to try out a test print with Gcode from before 4.0 with my laptop and S3D as the host. I initially thought this was a quirk with S3D 4.0. When I first got my ABT, my Simplif圓D Gcode exhibited some strange behavior when I updated to S3D 4.0. While this is a nice step in the right direction, I would still prefer a Simplif圓D, RPi based host. Goldengears5 was nice enough to make a tutorial to automatically, wirelessly, upload Gcode from Simplif圓D when it is saved. 3d-printer ) But at a cost of $199 for a 3.5" AstroBox Touch (ABT) I would really prefer a Simplif圓D host RPi. I have a limited edition 5" AstroBox Touch from their Kickstarter campaign, I actually use it with my 7" Official RPi touchscreen and it works quite well. I also think that a Raspberry Pi based Simplif圓D printer host would be great.
